This last Sunday, I woke up late again for church. I have been sleeping in way to much on Sundays. So, Sunday, I met my mom and sister for lunch. My dad wasn’t feeling good, so he didn’t come with them. I had somewhere to be at 4:30, so after we ate, I had to find something to do. What’s the best way to waste time? Go geocaching!
There were three caches I needed to find at Mohawk Park. So I went out there. I love this park. I have found a lot there, and hopefully, more people will hide caches there. I have seven hidden out there to.
After parking, I was within a short walking distance of two of them. The first one I found was Curse of the FTF – T-Town #12. It was a regular size. It was a nice cache. The second one, was a micro, Tick in a can. The next one I drove around the park a little way, to get a better parking spot. It was another short walk to it. This cache was a small. It was called JA123’s Baby Shower Cache.
After finding these, I still had time to kill. I drove closer to downtown Tulsa, to Centennial Park. This is a nice park, on the outskirts of downtown. Sometimes as a cacher, you just don’t have luck at a cache site. I found the cache, Centennial Park – The Waterfall, but the log was so wet, I couldn’t sign it. I usually carry extra logs with me, so I walked back to the car and got one. Wouldn’t you know it, when I got back to the cache, some people were there taking pictures. I knew they were gonna be there a while, so I just walked away. Oh well, at least I know where it is, and can come back and either replace the log, or sign it if someone else did.
The last one I found was Tulsa Time! It was downtown, close to the Tulsa PAC. When I decided to look for it, I thought downtown would be empty. Well, I forgot about the afternoon Nutcracker show. There were cars everywhere, but the people were all inside. I found it.
That was my caching for the day.
